The teaching
Opus is the teaching practice of Joseph Ordish, a pianist trained at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Students range from complete beginners to diploma candidates and conservatoire applicants.
Lessons are built on the Russian school tradition, which treats music and technique as one thing rather than two. Nothing moves forward until it is genuinely understood, so the week of practice between lessons builds on something real.
